How do I tell my dad he is being over protecting?
Well my dad is so over protective. He doesn't allow me to ride in the front seat; I have to sit in the back middle seat. I can't stay alone at home, and I have to eat every 4 hours or "I'll get sick". He has to come to all my school concerts and graduations to make sure I'm safe and have good friends. Only problem is: he lives 4 hours away from where I go to school and live with my mom. And he goes to EVERYTHING! I go to his house every other weekend, but since summer started, I go every other week. I'm not allowed to wear "revealing" tops or "short" shirts without him saying how grown-up I look. I've given up on wearing makeup there because he's always talking about it like he always wants me to be a little girl. When someone, like one of his friends, asks me something, my dad has to answer for me. And when I say that I can answer things, or order my food at restaurants, he asks me if I'm mad. It gets really dramatic. We end up not talking. Then he says I'm "acting odd". I'm too shy and quiet to tell him how I feel. I tell my mom and she understands what I'm going through; she went through I too. I just need help. Please no rude comments... Thanks.
