Why is my sucker fish killing my goldfish?

My orange sucker fish keeps attacking my goldfish and it looks like my goldfish is going to die any second now! There are these white fluffy things in my tank and im not sure if they are eggs or not. If they are eggs i think they might be my sucker fishes is this why he is hurting my goldfish. is he trying to protect his eggs? Any help?
