The Guy who asked me out isn't manly?

So, me and my best friend i will admit have a bit of a more than friendly connection. But, he is almost as girly as me!!!!!!! I always pictured myself being with a person who would protect me, not me be the one who protected him. A lot of people think that he is gay, too. I don't know what i am supposed to say to him. He asked me out, but i don't know wether or not to except it.
