How can I hold my family accountable for their actions?

You are going to have to take control of your life. What they have done to you may have hurt you, but it's in the past, you must look to the future. They may have only been trying to protect you. As much as they could. California is an expensive place to live, but it's doable and you're young. You may need to move to a cheaper area of CA or another state, but you must take control of your life. I also don't want you to hurt yourself or anybody. And you must forgive yourself and them. It will be hard, but I think that's what you need. You might never make them happy, you can only try to make yourself happy and then they might be happy in time, too. Can you get a counselor? Someone to talk to? Good luck, think positive and keep your head up!!
